Exhibition Statement
Coupled features a selection of works from Robert Malinowski’s recent series of figurative graphite drawings on paper. In this series, Malinowski playfully makes visible the tensions and complexities that exist in our relationships with others. While swirling hair, feathers, or items of clothing conceal the identity of the individual figures, they also suggest the underlying subtext in each relationship.
Artist Biography
Robert Malinowski left Sault Ste Marie to live in Toronto and has learned to draw a line behind ever since so he always knows how to get back home.
