Nadia Moss -- The Original Split

October 23, 2013 to November 9, 2013

Exhibition Statement

This room is made of pearls, dirt, and plastic;

Plastic is what we make, for better or for worse, cheap and destructive and irreversible but sometimes the most beautiful thing in the world.

Pearls come from some long ago original hurt, made beautiful and consumable and precious. You learn how to make a pearl as you get older – spit out like an egg. Its hardness built around soft tender pink, hardness built around injury, shiny or soft, unblemished perfect hardness.

Dirt’s just been here the whole time.
